Want to work in health centers and schools in Fundong, Cameroon? This week's featured Partner, Shared World Visions, is based out of Seattle and seeks volunteers for its projects in water health education and water system installation.
Shared World Visions is looking for volunteers with teaching, construction and engineering skills, especially volunteers with experience in counseling, ESL and language skills in French. There are no overhead fees for volunteers, and after arriving, the cost of living is often no more than $100 per month for room and board. More details about volunteering living and working conditions can be found here.
Shared World Visions’ founder, Lois Pierris, began working in Fundong, Cameroon in February of 2009 to work with a non profit delivering free fruit trees and seeds to local villages. He returned to the states to find fundraising for installing clean water systems in these northwest villages in Cameroon. You can read more about how Pierris started this partner organization and the current mission of the project on their profile page.
