Our Volunteer Grant program is open to all, regardless of age or nationality. We review four cycles of grant applications each year.  | Photopals Camera GrantsIn conjunction with the Omprakash Camera Grant, PhotoPals is an initiative that empowers students with the tools to document, reflect upon, and share their world using the universal language of visual image. Interested Volunteers and Educators are eligible to apply for Camera Grants to lead their own PhotoPals programs, whether abroad while working with an Omprakash Partner or within their home community. |
 | Partner Sustainability GrantsThe Omprakash Partner Sustainability Grant is a new opportunity for Omprakash administrators to provide strategic support to Partner organizations that propose entrepreneurial ways to generate revenue and lessen their dependence on charitable donations. All Partners are eligible to apply for this grant. Successful applications will be those that submit a realistic proposal for a new initiative that will increase the sustainability of the Partner—that is, an initiative that will maintain or increase the Partner’s ability to achieve its core mission beyond the immediate future. Grant recipients will work closely with Omprakash administrators and volunteers for at least one year to ensure successful implementation of the proposed initiative. The first deadline for this grant was September 15, 2011, and 32 Partners submitted applications. In early November, we announced the winners. |
