Educational Support Tibet is registered in Switzerland as well as in India. We are helping middle aged Tibetan refugees as this age is often forgotten. We look for fund and volunteers in Switzerland as well as in the whole world in order to support the school in India.

Current Projects
Kunpan Cultural School is a school where the Tibetan refugees are supported with acadamic Education and computer skill.
Our school is located in the countryside approx fifteen kms. below the popular town of McLeod Ganj, northern India, the resident of H.H. Dalai Lama and the Tibetan exile government. It is in a serene area with some beautiful views of the Himachal Mountains. The school itself is home to twenty-four students and usually between three and five volunteers.
Partner Needs
We often needs lots of teaching material. So that the students could read as much as possible in order to get knowledge which they have not got a chance to do in Tibet.
Financial Needs
There have been more than 109 people who applied in 2008, but we only could 24 students because of limited accommodation from our rented house. We would like to build our own house so that we could educate more than 20 students in the future.
In Kind Needs
We are always looking for native English speaker as our English volunteer teacher, to prepare our students for the Cambridge University Tests.
Mission Statement
The Aim of Our School
Our target is, to bring our students to a point where they are able - after having finished an education - to live their lives free and independent from the refugee center, in order to find their place in society.
After leaving T.T.S. (Tibetan Transit School, a school which is set up by the Tibetan government in exile for newly arrived refugee), neither the English, nor the computer nor the Chinese attainment levels of the students are sufficient to enable them to stand on their own feet in Tibet.
Our aim is to help refugees who have finished Tibetan Transit School and wish to further their education and reach a sound level so that they can stand on their own feet after returning to Tibet. For this reason, ES-Tibet supports 20 students for 2 years and gives them the opportunity to learn English, Chinese, and Computer Skills. ES-Tibet provides them with food and accommodation, as well as meeting travel costs after finishing the school, so that they do not need to worry about such things while studying there.
Besides providing them with education, one of our main goals is to improve their self-confidence. Therefore, we deem it very important that the atmosphere at the school between teacher and student is one of esteem, respect and goodwill.
This level of general education will significantly enhance the students’ chances to gain employment back in Tibet.
