Compass Green
Mission Statement
Compass Green started in the spring of 2011 to teach sustainability and sustainable agriculture in schools and communities in the USA. We tour the country in a fully functional greenhouse growing vegetables, grains, and herbs, built in the back of a box truck that is powered by waste vegetable oil. Our mobility allows us to reach audiences that wouldn't normally be exposed to this type of sustainable education. Our curriculum is focused on creative problem-solving and Bio-intensive methods of sustainable farming—producing the maximum yields with the minimum amount of resources.
