I first came in contact with Development and Education Program for Daughters and Communities (DEPDC) while attending the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point (UWSP). I spent a couple weeks at the school through a study abroad program; where as a class we went to DEPDC to learn about its program and teach art classes to the children. DEPDC is a non-profit school that provides free education to the community and a safe home for “at risk” children. They rely a lot on the generosity of others, whether it be their time or contributions.
