Helping Hands
Mission Statement
In 2005, Mario Diaz and Rosa Gutierrez founded "Yanapaq Maki Kuna", which means "Helping Hands" in Quechua. Our main objective is to develop opportunities to poor children and poor single mothers, people who without our help could not study or have a place to try to change their reality. We are a meeting point where single mothers can stay and share moments and experiences and in the same time getting some money making crafts, also we have an official school where 50 poor children can study 100% for free. Education is the only way to obtain a continuous development.
