Expand Peru
Huancayo, Peru
Started in 1999, we are a group of friends with a desire to help. We work with volunteers from all around the world to create an organization that effectively makes a change in Huancayo, Peru, in the central highlands. We match each volunteer with the program best suited to their skills and objectives as a volunteer. We consider each volunteer and partner a key member of our Expand Peru family.
We offer six social assistance programs, each with a focus on health, education, and other social issues. Our organization is dedicated to helping those in need and in the best way possible. Our programs take place in and around Huancayo. Some of our programs are located near the city center while others are in the rural communities that surround the city. We team with different social assistance organizations and education centers that share our vision of a better tomorrow for Peru’s children.

Partner Needs
Expand Peru is grateful for your desire to help. Every donation made to our organization directly affects the children we serve.
We accept in kind and financial donations.
Financial Needs
Currently, we are raising funds to support a building project for our organization. We are in the process of constructing a new learning center and volunteer house to support the work we do in our CASA program.
This is an afterschool where volunteers team with a local teacher to offer homework help to kids living in the rural city of San Pedro de Sano. Children participate in the program afterschool and receive academic help that they would not receive at home. It also serves as a summer school program where these same kids can spend their summer learning: theater, English, art, math, and so much more (to learn more visit www.expandperu.org).
We are looking for donations that will help us build a place that is safe for our kids and a great place to learn. Help us make this dream a reality.
The easiest way to donate fiscally to Expand Peru is through our website. We have developed a Pay Pal account that makes it easy to give. Just follow the link on the front page of the website that says “Donate”.
In Kind Needs
Many people ask us,
What can I bring or send to the kids in the different programs of the organization?
For that reason, we have developed a list of useful items for in kind donations. However, understand that anything you give will make a difference and that not every donation has to be brand new. You might be able to find some of these items among friends and family as well.
