Dome built in Jacmel by Robin Kenny A Dome for a school that Grassroots United Volunteers built in January of 2011 | My First Gallery by Andy Martin | My First Gallery Future for the Kids works with several orphanages in the Port Au Prince region to ensure the well being of the children. Through weekly enagaements, we are able to provide food, clothing, medicine and ofcourse, plenty of TLC! | Children's Creative Composition Future for the Kids partners with a local primary school, Emmanuel Mixte. This week, I met with the 4th year students for their elective period. I had them draw the first image to come to thier minds and follow that with a short story concerning the image. This young man, Emmanuel, had the most creative composition in the class. | Future For the Kids I visited another orphanage associated with Future for the Kids to associate myself with the children I will be working with for the duration of my service work. I took to them instantly, and I was glad to find the feeling was mutual : ) | Cite Soleil Bridge Building | OG Crew and LMT The OG crew managing to give English language lessons to my kids at LMT. They are a rowdy bunch! | Excited about English! This little guy got his hands on a book and went to a corner to sit down and read. Not only is he 3 yrs old and unable to read yet, but he does't know a word of English! He's just so excited, he wanted to get his own head start. | LMT and English This amount of enthusiasm is what really makes the difference in these lessons. The kids have short attention spans, so for these lessons to make a difference, they must be engaging! | My First Gallery Guilde, a musician from Cite Soleil, performing at Open Mic Night in the Haiti Communitere workshop on August 31, 2012. Once a month, Haiti Communitere hosts an Open Mic Night in their workshop and invites local artists to perform for the community. | Snake Painting at the Haiti Communitere Resource Center Snake, a local artist from Cite Soleil, helped to decorate the new Haiti Communitere workshop for Open Mic Night. Snake is currently working to establish an art school in Cite Soleil. | My First Gallery
