Volunteer Skills Needed
Volunteers would teach children in basic studies, implement vocational training programs, provide physical and mental rehabilitation services, support participants in daily activities, and visit families, particularly women, in nearby communities and discuss important health, hygiene and educational topics. Volunteers are also needed to help obtain private donations, especially from corporate sponsors, for the foundation.
Important skills needed in volunteers include experience working with individuals with disabilities, educational background in primary subjects, arts and crafts, and vocational fields, knowledge of computers and computer software (particularly desktop publishing platforms), and experience in public relations and fundraising. Volunteers with language skills in Hindi and Marathi are appreciated but not required as current on-site staff and volunteers possess the necessary languages.
