Seed Grant Application

Grant Description

Omprakash Seed Grants are intended to jumpstart innovative service-learning projects on middle and high school campuses. These projects should enrich academic curricula while also serving the needs of at least one Omprakash Partner. Applicants are expected to demonstrate that they have thought creatively about the ways in which they can further the educational goals of Omprakash. Successful proposals will seek to address the needs of our partners while also providing an educational and empowering experience for everyone involved.

We review grant applications on a quarterly basis. Our quarterly "deadlines" are February 15, May 15, August 15, and November 15.

Describe in detail the nature and goals of your project. Please use the following questions as guidelines:

1. What social problem(s) does this project address, and by what means? How have you identified this problem? How have you formulated your response to it? How have others in your community or elsewhere responded to similar problems?
2. How do you hope to realize your goals? What will be the biggest challenges you face?
3. How will you measure the success of your project?
4. How will your project contribute positively to the Omprakash network? More specifically, how will it contribute to our “Omprakash in the Classroom” program?
5. How do you hope to sustain your project beyond this academic year?
