My experiences volunteering for a non profit group doing grassroots organizing, teaching Special Education and English to English Language Learners, nannying for a private family who supported my greater dreams to develop curriculum for an international project and various inspirational people in my life have all led me to Helping Hands in Cusco, Peru and to The Omprakash Foundation.
While in Cusco, I worked to help develop San Gabriel Kindergarten in a variety of ways including curriculum development, fundraising, web design, promotion, sustainability/farming and structural needs. Omprakash supplied me with a grant that enabled me to achieve my goals.
After a long stretch of volunteerism, I returned to the United States and began doing outreach. This includes working to coordinate a 40 day bike powered university outreach tour for fellow volunteer Vance Walstra and planning a celebratory fundraising benefit.
My future goals include honing my fundraising skills and sharing my curriculum with interested Omprakash partners.
