In 2009, I graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Biochemistry. I have since started as a graduate student at the University of California- San Diego, working toward a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. During the summer of 2009, I travelled around Kenya, working with SOTENI International to evaluate different programs and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in four rural villages. In the past, I have also volunteered at the Cincinnati Drop Inn Center, a homeless shelter in Downtown Cincinnati, and have an active interest in service.
Skills
In the past, I have done basic construction work with a contractor, that involved painting, plumbing, concrete laying, and other handy-work. While working with SOTENI, I spent a large portion of my time traveling to schools and communities in Kenya teaching about HIV/AIDS.
