Success Story“Through Omprakash, I was able to plan a volunteer project with a school in Peru, and I was awarded a grant to travel there. Before leaving home, I rallied my employer and my community to collect several boxes of shoes and medical supplies to donate to Omprakash Partners. While in Peru, I was able to fundraise over $5,000 to support the expansion of the school where I was teaching. I also had the pleasure of traveling around the country and establishing relationships with various grassroots organizations that could benefit from joining the Omprakash network. I now continue to support Omprakash and the organizations in Peru by fundraising and talking with high schools and colleges around the United States about service learning and global volunteering.” |
